When an exam (guarded by invigilators) is offered both remotely and on premises, it is possible to configure it as such, in order to allow students to specify their preference. Students may then specify (when registering for the exam) whether they want to participate remotely or on premises (and be placed in a room). The exam administrators can then use that information in order to administer each examinee appropriately.
